Membership Officer Carmenza Cespedes
Carmenza Cespedes is a Colombian-American Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who served in Panama as a Small Business Development volunteer from 1998-2000. Born and bred in New York City, Carmenza received her Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in International Marketing from Baruch College, City University of New York in 1996. Her marketing career extends from working for one of the largest corporate travel management firms in the U.S. to heading the marketing efforts for and internal technology unit at Price Waterhouse Coopers, New York.
At Peace Corps she worked with indigenous artisan women groups and a non-profit business association. This experience helped Carmenza identify her interest in economic development by supporting the small business community. Therefore, after Peace Corps she decided to shift from the private sector to the non-profit sector. She is currently working as a Loan Officer for ACCION New York, a micro credit community based organization committed to providing access to credit to micro entrepreneurs in the New York City area. Carmenza is a founding member of the Minority Peace Corps Association.
