The Regional Manager of the Peace Corps New York Regional Office, Edwin Jorge oversees a 20-person staff responsible for recruiting Peace Corps volunteers from Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. In total, he has more than six years of experience in the Peace Corps, including two years working as a youth development volunteer in Jamaica.
Prior to serving as Regional Manager, Mr. Jorge spent 25 years in Spanish-language media in New York City, working in marketing and sales for two of the leading Spanish daily newspapers and for a Colombian television and radio company. He also ran the in-house advertising agency for a Latin communications group.
Mr. Jorge has an MPA degree from New York University's Wagner School of Public Service. He served in both the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. He is a native of New York City.
